SOL


Inspired by analog photographs taken from the sky, Covadonga explores matter as both memory and territory. By layering oil and paste—two elements that naturally repel each other—she creates visual tension rich in texture. These layers become strata, like those of earth or trees, preserving the traces of time. At first glance, the image appears simple, almost silent. But upon closer inspection, a world emerges: buried pigments, intricate details, happy accidents. For Covadonga, these works are like geological armors — they protect, they conceal, but they also tell stories. Far from being smooth, they invite curiosity, attention, and slow listening.
