Covadonga Castro Unzueta
I am Covadonga Castro Unzueta, a painter born in Madrid in 1993. I graduated in scenic design and
later obtained a master's degree in contemporary painting from ASP in Krakow. My Dots 2023
collection is characterized by thousands of intertwined dots in dynamic backgrounds, transforming
matter into captivating visual experiences.
Currently, I am working on the series Sol (Suelo), where I give great importance to textures. This
series resembles a bird's-eye view of the world, inspired by the aerial analog photography I take
during my flights. In it, I explore how the shapes and patterns of nature come to life when observed
from above.

Artistic Process
Artistic Process
My artistic process is deeply connected to color. I work with a maximum of three tones per
painting, choosing colors like ultramarine blue, bladder green, and red, which evoke natural
elements. These colors are frequently found in my surroundings, and I contrast them with their
opposites to play with shadows. This interaction highlights different sensations and experiences,
emphasizing the beauty of nature and its influence on my work.
I firmly believe that abstract art has the ability to connect with the deepest parts of the
subconscious, allowing the viewer to embark on a journey of free and personal interpretation.
